The main square of Sibiu City. When I saw this square, I immediately thought of the square in Siena, Italy. Because it really looks a lot like that place. The square is beautiful. There are various restaurants and cafes around the square, but when it is crowded, sitting in these restaurants can be uncomfortable. There are quieter, more affordable and really nice restaurants in the back street of the square, so choose these places.

The Square is divided into two parts separated by Ocnei Street, which slopes under the Bridge of Lies towards the Lower Town.The northern and eastern sides of the square follow the contour of the second fortification belt, forming a circular shape.The buildings existing in the Small Square date from the 14th to the 16th. and include those lens-shaped skylights known as the "the eyes of Sibiu". Small and Big Square are those who define the flavour of Sibiu.

Si sviluppa in sezione semi-circolare, incastonata tra Piazza Mare e Piazza Huet, con cui costituisce un mirabile unicum; è costellata da edifici nobili e belli, sedi di interessanti musei (da visitare quello ASTRA delle tradizioni popolari e quello farmaceutico, con biglietto cumulativo in giornata) , da ristoranti e caffé che la invadono coi loro tendoni e i loro tavoli, e dalle tantissime auto che vi possono accedere e parcheggiare a tutte l'ore! Che peccato!

we stop by every single time we pass by Sibiu, it is a great place to visit, have a nice walk (along big market place as well), have lunch/dinner at any of the great places there, or just a coffee/tea, enjoy the architecture of the buildings, the friendly people, the great vibe in this place.

One of the 3 main squares in Sibiu. A tourist place for sure but still a "must" for visiting Sibiu. It is the location of the Liars Bridge. Go in the north corner and you will find some very interessting stears going out Piata Mica and down to the Lower town. Bring your camera here.

Não se iluda: todas as praças do centro histórico de Sibiu são lindíssimas. A Piata Mica é "apenas" mais uma bela e ampla praça, por onde vc dificilmente vai deixar de passar enquanto estiver passeando pela cidade.
